Coral Fossil

Florida and Georgia in the USA are important sources of fossil coral and in fact this natural gemstone has been declared to be the Florida State Rock. Fossil coral is a natural stone that is formed when ancient coral is gradually replaced with agate. Coral Fossil is therefore more often referred to as ‘agatised coral’ or ‘agatised fossil coral’. The fossilised coral typically appears as small flower-like patterns in the agate stone. Coral fossil jewellery is said to help in working through emotional issues or relationships and benefits the circulation, oxygenation and heart. It is also a good stone to strengthen bone structure or help mend broken bones because it carries the sun's energy.
