Green Amethyst

Green Amethyst (also known as prasiolite) is a light green coloured version of the quartz- based Amethyst gemstone, which is more usually a violet colour. The name comes from the ancient Greek meaning ‘not intoxicated’ and both the Greeks and the Romans made drinking vessels of Amethyst thinking that it would prevent intoxication, no matter how much you consumed.
